We’re thrilled to announce that Kristen Kreie has been elected as the new Chair of the Board for Central Topeka Grocery Oasis. As we enter a critical stage in our mission to bring a community-owned grocery store to Central Topeka, Kristen’s leadership is exactly what CTGO needs to move from vision to reality.
Kristen brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture, construction, and project management, with a strong background serving the education, healthcare, government, and retail grocery industries. She’s not only managed complex projects from concept through completion—she’s helped build grocery stores and launch them successfully.
Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Kristen's first job was in a hometown grocery store. She launched her professional career in grocery architecture and has since developed deep expertise as a business advisor and project leader. She is a Project Management Professional and an award-winning interior designer with NCIDQ accreditation. Her ability to connect the dots across disciplines and industries makes her a strategic asset to CTGO.
Since stepping into her role, Kristen has already had a tremendous impact. Her calm, steady leadership style and ability to identify what needs to be done—and in what sequence—has sharpened our focus and accelerated our momentum.
In addition to her project expertise, Kristen has extensive knowledge of the grocery industry in our region. She brings with her valuable relationships with grocers, builders, architects, suppliers, and wholesale partners. Her insight into the logistical and operational aspects of launching a successful store is already proving invaluable to our team.
We are incredibly grateful to have Kristen guiding us through this pivotal phase. Her passion, professionalism, and clear-eyed commitment to getting this store off the ground will help ensure that Central Topeka finally gets the grocery store it deserves.
Please join us in welcoming Kristen Kreie as Board Chair!
