Community Power on Full Display at Central Park Cleanup

We’re still feeling the energy from the Central Park Big Community Cleanup on March 29th! In partnership with our friends at Omni Circle Group, dozens of volunteers came together to beautify Central Topeka—and what a day it was.

From early morning to early afternoon, neighbors of all ages pitched in to mow lawns, paint over graffiti, and pick up trash around the Central Park neighborhood. The spirit of teamwork was everywhere, with people sharing tools, swapping stories, and even turning cleanup into a bit of a dance party!

After a busy and rewarding morning, volunteers took a well deserved break and we shared a filling lunch, celebrated our shared vision for the neighborhood, and imagined what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with gloves, good humor, and a determined attitude! Events like this remind us what’s possible when we work together.
